I’m Evi Flooren. Whether I’m taking photographs, designing objects or sketching, I’m always searching for the emotional layer underneath the surface, the poetic in the everyday.

Romanticism is a central part of my visual language, but so is realism. I’m not interested in polishing faces to fit society’s standards. I’m not here to present a perfect world. I want to keep things raw, human and emotionally honest. I’m fascinated by people who carry stories in their faces, in their scars, in the way they move through the world.

As a young woman in a complex world, I don’t want to stay in safe spaces. I want to go beyond them. Not to prove that I’m brave, but to show that curiosity, connection and respect have no age or gender. My work is a way of connecting, with my lens in between.
